Police and coastguards in Shetland have resumed their search for an elderly man who has been missing since Tuesday night.

A police spokesman said 79-year-old Magnus Hughson was last seen at his house at Setter on the west side of the island of Yell.

The spokesman said he may be extremely disorientated and confused.

Northern Constabulary have appealed to members of the public in Yell to search any outbuildings.
