Strike risk over pay settlements
Union leaders at Aberdeen City Council say they have not ruled out the possibility of strike action over controversial equal pay settlements.
Members of both the T&G Unite and GMB unions have voted to reject the latest offer.
Council officials have since been meeting union leaders in a bid to agree improved terms.
Aberdeen City Council expressed disappointment at the outcomes of the ballots.
A council spokesman said: "We are now waiting for the promised feedback on the key issues from the two trade unions which have balloted so far.
"The city council will then decide how to take matters forward.
"The third union involved, Unison, has yet to ballot its members."
The changes affect almost all council employees as the authority - in line with every council in Scotland - seeks to implement a single status deal.
