A toddler, who was knocked down while crossing an Aberdeen road with his mother and brother, has been transferred to an Edinburgh hospital.
The 34-year-old mother and her sons, aged two and seven, were struck by a silver Nissan as they crossed Clifton Road in the Woodside area of the city.
The family, believed to be Nigerian, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the mother was later discharged.
The two-year-old has now been taken to Edinburgh for specialist care.
The seven-year-old is still in the hospital in Aberdeen.
Grampian Police said no-one had been charged at this stage of their inquiries.

As part of their investigation into the cause of the crash, officers have interviewed the car driver and carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area.
The injured family are believed to have been walking near the junction between Clifton Road and Anderson Road at about 1725 GMT when they were struck.
The male driver of the Nissan Almera involved was said to be shocked but uninjured.
Grampian Police closed the road for three hours while they carried out their investigation.
Ch Insp Tom Forrester, head of roads policing in Grampian, urged people with information to come forward, adding that Clifton Road would have been busy with pedestrians and traffic at the time of the accident.
He said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in Clifton Road and saw the collision, or saw the Nissan Almera or the woman and two children prior to the collision, to get in touch with us.
"It is important that we speak to as many people as possible so that we can build up a clear picture of the cause of the collision."
