A collie dog has been found alive three days after he plunged over a 30ft cliff near Aberdeen.
Coastguard and RNLI rescue teams launched a search at Cove on Monday after Taffy's owners, who were on holiday in the area, raised the alarm.
A member of the public spotted the injured dog at the bottom of cliffs on Thursday afternoon.
He required medical attention but is said to be doing well. He has now been reunited with his owners.
Angela Hutton, from Shetland, told BBC Scotland she had presumed that her pet had drowned.
She said it was "brilliant" to discover that Taffy was alive.
"When they phoned I thought they had found his body, which would have been better than nothing," she said.
"But to have him here and have him so well, I can't believe it. It is just fantastic."
Bill Smith, from Aberdeen Coastguard, said: "I believe the dog has suffered some facial injuries but it's certainly a lucky animal.
"We believe it had gone over the cliff and knocked itself out.
"When it came to again there were no other people around and it's just fortunate that these passers-by had the good sense to call us."
Mr Smith also urged dog owners to keep their pets on leads when walking near cliff edges.
