Two peregrine falcon chicks die
Two young peregrine falcon chicks have died after being poisoned in Aberdeenshire.
The pair of four-week-old chicks were found in a nest in the Inverurie area.
The birds were discovered when members of the North East Raptor Study Group visited their nest to ring and weigh the young birds.
Grampian Police, which has appealed for information, said the chicks had been fed an illegal pesticide. Peregrine falcons are protected.
