Sixty new jobs for Aberdeen firm

ISS founding directors Ian Herd and Bruce Webster with their latest ROV Sixty new jobs are being created in Aberdeen as a sub-sea company invests £15m in new equipment.

Integrated Subsea Services (ISS) - formed in 2002 - will use eight new remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to try and service growing demand.

The company is involved in sub-sea oil and gas work ranging from new field installation to platform repairs.

It is now embarking on the recruitment drive to find a mix of experienced ROV operators and trainees.

Managing director Ian Herd said: "In the early days we were largely dependent on agency personnel. But we have been developing our own quality workforce.

"We have spent the last four to five years quietly building the business in the North Sea and are proud of the success we have achieved.

"The shortage of people and equipment in our sector is worsening and investing in our fleet and our people puts us in pole position to meet demand."
