Brand backed by prince wins award

Mey Selections in Caithness has won the the best retail initiative category at the BBC Radio 4 food and farming awards, held in Birmingham.

The brand, used to identify products from the far north such as cheese and oatcakes, is backed by Prince Charles.

It was launched as a result of the prince's North Highland Initiative.

Mey Selections tries to source all the main ingredients for its food from within hundred miles of the Castle of Mey, a royal summer residence.
