Fire-hit pool reopens a day early

The competition pool at Inverness Leisure's Aquadome complex has reopened a day earlier than scheduled.

The pool, which was closed following a fire in another part of the building, has been emptied and refilled with a million litres of fresh water.

It had initially been set to reopen on Saturday, but was opened to the public from midday on Friday.

Leisure waters at the Aquadome are unlikely to be opened to the public until early next year.

September's fire started in an electrical panel controlling leisure pool features such as a wave machine.
