Concerns of speeding near school

Police said they were clamping down on speeding within a 20mph stretch of road near a school in Inverness.

Concerns have been raised locally, including by Charleston Academy staff, about driving on General Booth Road.

Northern Constabulary said nine drivers had been charged so far in connection with speeding offences.

Ch Insp Julian Innes said: "This is about irresponsible driver behaviour and action is being taken by police to improve road safety."
