Drugs totalling nearly £1m seized
Drugs worth almost £1m have been seized by police in the Highlands and Islands over the past 12 months.
The figure was revealed in Northern Constabulary's annual public performance report to the Northern joint police board.
Chief Constable Ian Latimer also said the force area enjoyed the lowest levels of recorded crime in Scotland.
He said the region was one of the safest places to live, work and invest in the UK.
