Rescue alert at islands airport

Emergency services were alerted to reports of a plane experiencing engine problems at Stornoway Airport on Lewis in the Western Isles.

Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service said the alarm was raised at 0800 BST.

The Highland Airways Jetstream aircraft landed safely and the fire and rescue service's crews were stood down.

The plane, which was travelling from Inverness to Stornoway, had two crew and two passengers on board.
