One person killed in A9 accident

One man has been killed and two others injured in a crash involving two lorries and a goods vehicle on the A9 in the Highlands.

Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue service said crews were called to free casualties from the wreckage.

Emergency services were called to the crash at Kingussie south of Aviemore at about 1120 BST.

The section of road was closed in both directions for about 14 hours after the accident and diversions were in place.
