Police inquiry after body found

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in a house in Easter Ross.

Police were called to an address in the Coulpark area of Alness at about 1115 BST by the Scottish Ambulance Service, following reports of a death.

Northern Constabulary said the body was that of a woman in her 20s.

Police said inquiries were at "a very early stage". A post-mortem examination will be performed and a report submitted to the procurator fiscal.
