Work to start on rescue team HQ

Ben Nevis Work is due to start at the beginning of November on a new £574,000 headquarters for Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team.

Funding for the new building included a £70,000 grant from Highlands and Islands Enterprise Lochaber.

The team - which covers Ben Nevis - aims to move out of Lochaber Police Station to its new base in Glen Nevis Business Park next spring.

Inverness-based William Gray has been awarded the contract for the building.
