Musician Bob Dylan and his brother are reported to have bought a mansion in the Cairngorms National Park.
Aultmore House near Nethybridge, Inverness-shire, had previously been available to rent for £3,000 a night.
The 65-year-old US singer, who is reported to have purchased the Edwardian property with David Zimmerman, is fond of Scotland.
His album Time Out of Mind includes a track called Highlands and he has an honorary degree from St Andrews.
Roy Turnbull, who would be one of Dylan's nearest neighbours, said talk of new owners of the secluded house began sometime ago.
He told the BBC's Good Morning Scotland programme: "I heard about six months ago that Bob Dylan had probably bought Aultmore House."
On his source of the information, Mr Turnbull said: "A friend of mine knows the family who owned Aultmore House. So I know it was a reliable source."

Mr Turnbull said he understood that Dylan's brother has been seen in the area.

Mr Turnbull said he was certain local people would give Dylan and Mr Zimmerman their privacy.
The musician's track Highlands includes the lines "Heart's in the Highlands" and "bluebells blazing, where the Aberdeen waters flow".
Dylan was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Music from the University of St Andrews in 2004.
Aultmore House was built at the turn of the 20th Century and has views across Abernethy Forest and the Cairngorms.
The 14,671 sq mile (38,000 sq km) national park is home to about 16,000 people.
It is 40% larger than the Lake District and is home to rare wildlife.
