Man found badly injured in street

Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was found seriously injured in a street in Glasgow.

The 19-year-old was found unconscious in Tormusk Gardens, Castlemilk, at about 0325 GMT on Saturday.

He had suffered a serious head injury and was taken to the city's Victoria Infirmary before being transferred to the Southern General Hospital.

The man remains in a serious condition. Strathclyde Police appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Det Sgt Graham Strickland said he was anxious to establish exactly how the man received his injuries.
