Torrential summer rain has brought flash flooding to parts of Glasgow and the west of Scotland.

The heavy downpour hit the city at about 1400 BST and water began to fill up roads in parts of the south side of the city.

The Met Office issued a severe weather warning for the south west and west of Scotland, Argyll and Bute, Perth-shire and the Highlands.

Forecasters said rainfall could be between 15mm and 30mm.
