Man charged over teenager's death

A 20-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a teenager in Ayrshire on Friday evening.

Michelle Stewart, 17, was found with injuries in Mill O' Shield Road, Drongan, at about 1835 GMT.

She was taken by ambulance to Ayr Hospital where she died a short time later.

John Wilson, from Prestwick, appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court. He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
