Motorbike death crash man named

Martin Swanson

A man who died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car in Glasgow has been named by police.

Martin Swanson, 36, from Castlemilk, sustained fatal injuries and his seven-year-old pillion passenger was seriously injured in the crash.

The accident, which involved a Honda car, took place on Auldhouse Road at the junction with Nether Auldhouse Road at about 1900 GMT on Friday.

A 43-year-old woman, who was driving the car, was uninjured.

The seven-year-old boy is being treated at Yorkhill Hospital, where his condition was described as "serious but stable".

Strathclyde Police have appealed for any information about the collision.

A full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
