Firefighters have been monitoring a blaze in a disused school building in Glasgow after bringing it under control in the early hours of Thursday.
They were first called to the fire late on Wednesday night.
At one point the flames threatened to spread from the site on Great George Street to Glasgow University buildings.
It is understood the building had once been owned by Hutchesons Grammar School but was undergoing building work after being bought by a property developer.
Alex Gordon of Strathclyde Fire and Rescue said: "The first crews that arrived were confronted with a fire that was quite well developed.
"The fire was involving part of the first, part of the second and the roof space which was well alight so I think it could be seen from quite a few areas over the city."
