Two Scots wanted on fraud charges have been arrested in Spain after featuring in a Crimestoppers appeal to catch on-the-run British suspects.
Anthony Kearney, 43, and his 41-year-old partner, Donna McCafferty, were detained in Alicante on Thursday.
McCafferty is suspected of benefit fraud - one of several fraud offences which Kearney is accused of.
The pair will shortly be handed over to UK authorities and returned to Scotland under European Arrest Warrants.
On Thursday, Crimestoppers and the Serious Organised Crime Agency issued descriptions of 10 suspected criminals believed to be hiding in the Costa Blanca area around Alicante as part of Operation Captura 2.
It aims to catch people wanted in the UK for crimes including murder, sex offences, drug trafficking and kidnap.
Mr Kearney and Ms McCafferty are both wanted by Strathclyde Police.
Crimestoppers chief executive, Mick Laurie, said: "Two arrests so quickly is an amazing result for law enforcement and the Crimestoppers charity."
