Youth found with serious injuries

A 16-year-old youth has been found seriously injured in the Glenside area of Dumbarton.

The boy was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley after being discovered with injuries to his body at 0055 BST on Saturday.

Hospital staff described his condition as serious but stable.

Strathclyde Police said they believed the youth had been assaulted, and appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
