Sandbags laid at flood risk homes
Firefighters in Ayrshire have been laying sandbags in the village of Dalrymple in a bid to prevent flood damage to properties.
Strathclyde Fire and Rescue said it was taking measures to protect more than 20 homes which were in danger of becoming flooded following heavy rainfalls.
A spokesman said the service had asked East Ayrshire council to provide sandbags.
The properties affected are on Forglen Road and Primpton Avenue.
