Man 'serious' after gang attack

Police are hunting a gang of men after an attack on three people in Glasgow.

Officers are treating an assault on a 30-year-old man as attempted murder. His condition has been described as "serious".

They are also investigating attacks on two other men, aged 19 and 46. A police spokesman said the incident involved six or seven men.

It happened in Blairdardie Road, Knightswood, at about 2040 BST on Monday.

The 30-year-old man is being treated for serious injuries at the Southern General Hospital.

The other two men were taken to Glasgow's Western Infirmary but were discharged after treatment.

Det Ch Insp Peter McPike, of Strathclyde Police, said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Blairdardie Road who may have witnessed the disturbance to come forward."
