Man sought over bookmaker robbery

Police have appealed for help following an armed robbery at a bookmakers in the west end of Glasgow.

A man escaped with a three-figure sum of cash from William Hill's Byres Road branch after threatening a female staff member with what appeared to be a gun.

The woman was not injured during the robbery, which happened on Thursday at about 1715 BST.

The man is described as in his 30s and between 5ft 8in and 6ft in height. He wore a black hat and a grey jacket.
