Residents home after flood fear

Dam

Residents living near a reservoir in Renfrewshire have been allowed back to their homes after flood warnings were lifted.

The area, between Kilbirnie and Lochwinnoch, has been hit by two separate warnings this week following heavy rainfall.

Police confirmed that roads had re-opened and residents were allowed home after engineers shored up the dam.

Structural work on the dam is due to continue for another 10 days.
