Motorcyclist dies in road crash

A motorcyclist has died following a four-vehicle crash on the A71 near Hurlford in Ayrshire.

Another motorcyclist and a pillion passenger were injured in the collision, which involved two motorbikes, a car and a van.

The injured were taken to Crosshouse Hospital but they were not said to be in a serious condition.

The driver of the car was also treated for minor injuries after the crash, which happened at 1730 BST on Friday.

A report will be prepared for the procurator fiscal.
