Murder attempt on pregnant woman

Police are treating a hit-and-run on a 32-year-old pregnant woman in Glasgow as attempted murder.

The woman, who is four months pregnant, was deliberately struck by a Nissan Note car in Parragon Way, Gorbals, at about 1300 BST on Tuesday.

She was taken to the city's Victoria Infirmary where she was treated for minor injuries before being released.

Police, who said the car was driven by a man, have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
