Armed robber nets empty cash box

An armed robber made off with an empty money box after he attempted to steal cash from a bank in Clydebank, Glasgow.

Police are investigating the botched raid at the Royal Bank of Scotland, at Rockbank Place at about 1005 BST.

The man threatened the 50-year-old security guard with a firearm and pushed him to the ground before making his getaway in a silver coloured car.

The suspect is described as white, about 5ft 10in, wearing a balaclava, jeans and white trainers.
