A fatal accident inquiry into the death of a lorry driver crushed at a bread factory has got under way.
Graham Meldrum, 40, died after being struck by a faulty tail-lift on his truck while unloading at the Allied Bakery plant in Glasgow in July 2005.
Two firms were fined a total of £33,500 in November after admitting a number of health and safety breaches.
The inquiry, which is being heard at Glasgow Sheriff Court, is expected to last three weeks.
Pc Joseph Connolly, from Strathclyde Police, told the inquiry he saw Mr Meldrum standing upright, trapped by the tail-lift, when he arrived at the scene.
He said he saw a pool of blood and a broken watch at Mr Meldrum's feet and that ambulance staff told him there were no signs of life.
