Murder charge youth, 14, remanded

Police at the scene A 14-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Christopher Johnston, 17, who died after suffering serious injuries in Bishopbriggs.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

He made no plea or declaration, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

Mr Johnston was found injured in Ronaldsay Drive at 2120 on Saturday. He later died at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
