Virtual tour of Empire Exhibition

Empire Exhibition The Empire Exhibition held in Glasgow in 1938 has been brought back to life at the city's House for an Art Lover.

A 3D construction of the event has been created at a cost of £146,000 in the building on the site of the original exhibition in Bellahouston Park.

David J Leslie, chairman of House for an Art Lover, said: "We are very proud to be involved in recreating this incredible part of Glasgow's story."

The project includes a virtual tour of the exhibition.

The event incorporated about 80 buildings, including Tait's Tower and attracted 12.5m people over six months.
