McFadden goal to be commemorated
James McFadden's winning goal for Scotland against France on 12 September is to be commemorated at the national football museum.
The striker will unveil a giant photograph of his goal at the Scottish Football Museum at the National Stadium, Hampden, Glasgow.
McFadden's 30-yard strike in the 63rd minute gave Scotland a 1-0 win against the World Cup runners-up in Paris.
The photograph will be on permanent display at the entrance to the museum.
The victory boosted Scotland's chances of qualifying for the 2008 European Championships.
The result took Scotland to the top of Group B, which includes France, Italy, Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia and the Faroe Islands.
Alex McLeish's side have now taken six points from the French.
