Motorcyclist killed in A83 crash

A woman has died following a crash on the A83, Inveraray to Arrochar Road in Argyll.

The 42-year-old motorcyclist was riding a Kawasaki cycle northbound on the A83 when she collided with a Renault Clio car, travelling the opposite way.

The collision happened at about 1045 BST near to the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. The woman died at the scene.

The 73-year-old driver of the car was uninjured. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
