Man dies six weeks after stabbing

Police at Moodiesburn A 24-year-old man who was seriously injured during an incident in North Lanarkshire six weeks ago has died.

The man, who has not been identified by police, was hurt in a stabbing behind flats in Braeside Avenue, Moodiesburn, on Sunday 29 April.

A 29-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday 2 May.

A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.
