Two men have been seriously injured in a gas explosion on board their pleasure boat in Loch Lomond.
The incident happened near Balloch in the West Dunbartonshire area at about 1345 BST on Wednesday.
They were airlifted to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley by a Royal Navy helicopter from Prestwick.
Hospital staff said the pair were in a serious but stable condition. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the blast.
Firefighters from Balloch and Dumbarton discovered two casualties on the shore side suffering from serious burns.
The boat, a small cabin cruiser, remained on fire and firefighters used a large water jet from the shore to extinguish the flames.
The boat has now been taken away to allow Strathclyde Fire and Rescue's fire investigation unit suitable access to find the cause of the incident.
