A huge fire at an Indian restaurant in Edinburgh is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

Khushi's in Victoria Street in the Grassmarket has finally been made safe after a huge blaze broke out on Friday 20 December.

The building, from which hundreds of people were evacuated, also houses the Liquid Room nightclub and Finnegan's Wake pub.

A special fire team are continuing to investigated the cause of the blaze.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "Initial reports show the Khushi's fire was not suspicious."
