Roads closed after chemical spill

Fire engine

Two roads in East Lothian have been closed after a container was found on the road leaking an unknown chemical.

The white tub was found with the handwritten words "corrosive" near Dunbar at 0900 GMT on Monday.

Five litres of the liquid has spilled onto a residential road between Newford Farm and Beveridge Row.

Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service said Beveridge Row and Belhaven Road in Dunbar had been closed and three fire engines were at the scene.
