Pedestrian killed in Fife crash

A pedestrian has died after a serious road accident involving two cars in Fife, police have said.

John Wemyss, 23, of Inverkeithing, was hit on the A90 road near Dunfermline at about 0230 GMT. The accident involved a blue lorry and a Blue Volvo.

The road was closed for several hours between junction one of the M90 and the Ferry Toll slip, with diversions in place. Neither driver was injured.

Fife Constabulary said the carriageway was reopened at about 0800 GMT.
