A man who hit a wall after losing control of his vehicle was among 21 people caught during the first week of a national drink-drive campaign.
The 33-year-old was over twice the legal limit when he struck the wall outside an ambulance depot in Haddington, on Wednesday 16 July.
An 18-year-old man crashed into a parked car in Bonnyrigg while three times the limit on the same day.
The two week crackdown started on 14 July.
The drink and drug-driving campaign, overseen by the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (Acpos), saw Lothian and Borders Police carry out road checks as well as high-visibility and unmarked patrols.

In a separate initiative, police patrols were also sent out on the M8 and M9 motorways as part of a day of enforcement action, on Wednesday.
Officers will also patrol the other main roads linking Edinburgh with the rest of the country, including the A90, A1, and A720 city bypass.
Insp Jill Kerr said it aimed to target speeding drivers and enforce seatbelt and mobile phone laws.
She said: "Excessive speed is often a major factor in fatal and serious collisions which occur on our roads and the intention of this day of action is to remind drivers on motorway and other fast road routes to stick to the speed limit and exercise due care and attention.
"We are committed to reducing the number of casualties on our roads, as well as improving driver education through effective education and enforcement."
