Scotland's most successful village cricket club has celebrated its centenary with a world class match.
Village players have been taking on the Sussex Ladies, half of whom have recently returned from a tour of Australia where they won the Ashes.
It is part of a series of games for the club, who achieved fame in 1985 taking the National Village Championship against a Surrey team at Lords.
The team has been playing in the Fife village since 1908.
Groundsman David Christie, who captained the side at Lords, said: "It took us until 1980 when we beat the first English side. In 1983 they made the quarter finals and then two years later we won it.
"It really put the club on the map. Nobody knew about Scotland playing cricket, far less Freuchie."
Celebratory events have been marked with a series of matches.
Alexis Walker, captain of the Sussex Ladies, told the BBC Scotland news website: "Girls v boys is always very competitive. We've been really looking forward to it."
One of the village's star players is former Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram.
He said: "I signed for Lancashire the same day I signed for West Brom.
"Cricket is a game I would rather play. Obviously I went further at football quicker so cricket took a back seat but just to play again is great."
