Firefighters tackling boat blaze

Viking Vulcan on fire

Dozens of firefighters are tackling a fire on board a boat at Leith Docks in Edinburgh.

Five fire engines and five specialist vehicles were called to the docks at about 0430 BST where a support vessel, the Viking Vulcan, was on fire.

A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service said about 35 firefighters were at the scene.

She said the fire was "fully developed through the vessel" but added that no-one was on board.
