Last CCTV picture of missing man

CCTV footage of Simon Kennedy

An image of the last known sighting of an Edinburgh man who has been missing for a week has been released by police.

The CCTV image of Simon Kennedy is from a petrol station in the Tibshelf area of Derbyshire on Wednesday 9 April.

The 32-year-old was travelling in his blue Ford Focus, registration number N13 JSB.

He disappeared after visiting his parents' holiday home in Elie, Fife, on 9 April, and he has not been back to his house in Royal Crescent since.

Mr Kennedy is white, 6ft 2ins, of medium build, with short dark hair and brown eyes.

He was clean shaven when he left Elie, and was wearing dark blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a black v-neck jumper.

A police spokeswoman said: "We are appealing directly to anyone who may have seen or heard from Mr Kennedy in the week since he disappeared.

"We are especially keen to hear from the public in the East Midlands area, as that is where he was last seen, and could still be in the area.

"His wife Julia, and family, want Simon to know they fully support him, and that his health and well-being are their first concern."
