SNP conference agenda

The SNP is meeting for its annual conference in Perth between Thursday 16 October and Sunday 19 October.

Here is the agenda for the three-day gathering.

Thursday 16 October

1400: Welcome address by Alex Salmond MP MSP, SNP leader and first minister of Scotland and John Hulbert, provost, Perth and Kinross Council.

1415: Report of the standing orders and agenda committee.

1420: Resolutions: traditional arts; bravery award; convention on the rights of the child; human rights; asylum seekers; animal welfare; allotments.

1500: Speech by Richard Lochhead MSP, Scottish environment secretary.

1520: Topical and emergency resolutions.

1545: Resolutions.

1640: Speech by Kenny MacAskill MSP, Scottish justice secretary.

Friday 17 October

1030: Resolutions: rail franchise; stamp duty; value added tax; visible policing.

1120: Speech by John Swinney MSP, Scottish finance secretary.

1140: Resolutions.

1400: Speech by Alun Ffred Jones AM, Welsh heritage minister.

1410: Resolutions: alcohol abuse; access.

1450: Speech by Fiona Hyslop MSP, Scottish education secretary.

1510: Topical and emergency resolutions.

1545: Constitutional and internal resolutions (internal session).

1615: Office bearer, parliamentary group and affiliated organisation reports.

Saturday 18 October

1030: Resolutions: chartered teachers; non-class contact time; reducing class sizes; national bargaining.

1130: The Donaldson Lecture.

1510: Speech by Nicola Sturgeon MSP, SNP deputy leader and Scottish health secretary

Sunday 19 October

0945: National office bearer elections.

1000: Resolutions: drug strategy; NHS 60th anniversary.

1030: Announcement of national office bearer elections and election of national executive committee (internal session).

1045: Resolutions: wildlife crime; fire and rescue; forced marriages.

1130: Road to the referendum, introduced by Angus Robertson MP.

1210: Result of elections of national executive committee and elected members of national council and internal committees (internal session).

1400: Resolutions: Glasgow Housing Association; pensioners' parliament.
