A senior Labour MSP has been given a slap on the wrist after failing to declare hospitality he received from the fast food chain McDonald's.
Andy Kerr missed the deadline for placing details of a community football event, sponsored by the company in his register of interests.
But Holyrood's Standards Committee agreed the error was an oversight and not intended.
No further action will be taken against the Labour public services spokesman.
The complaint was made by a member of the public after Mr Kerr, Scotland's former health minister, missed the registration deadline by four days, following the event in London last August.
MSPs on the committee heard the MSP for East Kilbride accepted responsibility when the mistake was pointed out to him and registered the gift.
Committee member, Tory MSP Jamie McGrigor, said: "After due consideration of this matter, I feel this was more of an oversight than an intended offence."
