The parents of one of the 14 British servicemen killed when their plane crashed in Afghanistan have paid tribute to their son.
Flight Sergeant Gary Andrews' parents Peter and Joyce said he wanted to join the RAF since he was a young boy.
Mrs Andrews said the father-of-two, from the Scottish village of Fochabers, was "outgoing, loving and helpful."
Flt Sgt Andrews, 48, and his colleagues died last Saturday when the Nimrod MR2 came down near Kandahar.
Family man
Mrs Andrews said: "He was a family man and he had a great relationship with his children.
"He was very much into computers and electrics and had just bought a new motorbike.
"He could also be very funny and he could talk the hind legs off a donkey."
Flt Sgt Andrews lived with his wife Kristina and daughters Sophia, 11 and Lauren, four.
His father, a former RAF radar operator, said the elder daughter is "devastated".
Flt Sgt Andrews, who was originally from Tankerton in Kent and had lived in Fochabers for more than 20 years, had served in Germany, Gibraltar, Iraq and Jordan.
Mrs Andrews added: "I don't like the thought of anyone being there (Afghanistan), no-one would choose to do it, but I accept the fact that as a serviceman, you have a job to do and do the job to the best of your ability.
"I don't feel anger, I just feel sorrow."
Mr and Mrs Andrews are eager for the inquiry into the crash to be completed as soon as possible.
Twelve RAF personnel, a Royal Marine and an Army soldier were on board the RAF Nimrod MR2.
The men's bodies will be returned next week to RAF Kinloss in Moray where 12 of them, including Flt Sgt Andrews, were based.
