A schoolgirl has been electronically tagged after she admitted dealing cannabis to fellow pupils.
Jennifer Ross, 16, of Millerston, Glasgow, was captured on CCTV at Chryston High School, Muirhead.
At Airdrie Sheriff Court she was ordered to stay at home overnight for 10 months.
Sentencing Ross, the sheriff said: "If you breach this tagging order be under no illusions I will not hesitate in sending you to prison."
Sheriff Morag Galbraith added: "You have to grow up.
"I am prepared not to send you to jail only because of the support of your mother."
Ross admitted to being concerned in the supply of drugs at the North Lanarkshire school between 4 February and 4 March, 2005.
She was found in possession of three bags of cannabis with a total weight of 29 grammes.
A search also found what appeared to be a tick list in her jacket pocket.
Police interviewed pupils and some admitted they had bought cannabis.
Gerry McCarron, Ross's lawyer, said: "She realises it is a serious matter, particularly within the grounds of a school.
"She regrets her conduct."
