Teen charged after TV appearance

Trisha Goddard A tagged teenage offender has been charged with breaking a curfew order - by appearing on daytime television.

Kelly Byrne, 19, from Blackford, Perthshire, was arrested hours after being shown on Tuesday's Trisha show talking about her tangled love life.

At Perth Sheriff Court it was alleged that Byrne had breached her overnight curfew order by flying to London to record the programme on 2 March.

She was released on bail and a hearing was set for next month.

Ms Byrne had been on the show to talk about a situation with her mother and her mother's boyfriend.

The broadcast also featured a heated row between Byrne and her rival for another lover - a father of eight currently out of prison on licence for gun and knife offences.
