Man dies after own car rolls back

A Fife man has died after he was struck by his own car when it apparently rolled backwards down his driveway.

Alan Thomas, 65, of Camilla Grove, Auchtertool was rushed by ambulance under police escort to Queen Margaret Hospital but died shortly afterwards.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of Mr Thomas' death but are treating it as an accident.

Fife Constabulary are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occurred at about 1020 GMT on Saturday.
