A record one billion bottles of Scotch whisky were sold around the world last year.
New figures from the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA) show the volume of exports and their value both rose in 2001.
Scotland's most famous export is now sold in more than 200 markets worldwide - with South Korea and Japan accounting for the biggest increases.
The SWA said that last year was "excellent" for the industry.

Exports to Asia rose by almost 17% to more than 180 million bottles - with World Cup hosts South Korea and Japan increasing their whisky intake by 26.5% and 32.9% respectively.
Sales to the European Union, which have suffered due to the high value of the pound against the euro, also increased.
Volume of sales to EU partners grew by 4% to almost 450 million bottles.
